Tornados of Joy
I see tornados that have brought damage and destruction. They have unreservedly ripped through peoples lives. All their stuff has been lifted up, sucked up into them and tossed around. The tornados are grey, dusty, dirty and dangerous. Their power has devastated many. They have left cities, regions, lives flattened in their wake.
Then I saw them starting to change and I saw tornados blowing in that would signal a change, a shift in season. They were full of colour and light, hope and joy. They were like coloured ribbons being twirled around so fast and there was so much joy, hope and laughter in them.
They represent the new thing God is doing where the enemy has come to rob, steal and destroy, these tornados were a force for good. They were bringing with them so much joy and hope. Joy is being restored to many in the body of Christ. It’s blowing in and will clear out the debris, the dross, the despair and sorrow from the season that is shifting.
Psa 30:11-12 Passion Translation
Then he broke through and transformed all my wailing
into a whirling dance of ecstatic praise!
He has torn the veil and lifted from me
the sad heaviness of mourning.
He wrapped me in the glory-garments of gladness.
12 How could I be silent when it’s time to praise you?
Now my heart sings out, bursting with joy—
a bliss inside that keeps me singing,
“I can never thank you enough!
Just like the back to back storms we had in the natural in recent months, these tornadoes of joy are blowing in straight off the back of the destructive tornados and people may feel unsure of them at first as the wind is picking up but they are blowing in from a different direction. These are coming straight from heaven. They will shift and put things in different places, places that couldn’t be reached without them. They are going to put things in better places that you can imagine. They are going to set you up for success. The God of the heavens is good and these tornados contain an abundance of His goodness to blow into lives that are crying out for Him.
These tornados of joy are a joyful spectacle/manifestation of God’s goodness and kingdom. They are going to stop people in their tracks who want to ask about what is happening. They are going to be a sign that make people wonder and who have been questioning the goodness of God.
How are you so joyful?
How come so much good stuff is happening to you?
People will want to get in on it!!!!
We are to be these tornados. As we are filled with joy overflowing we are not just for the four walls of the church but we are to take it into our workplaces, on the streets etc. we should expect to see the joy come to the people around us.
Matt 10:8 Freely you have received, now freely give.
Eph 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
As I processed the word I painted it in my bible as I love to journal what God says and shows me.
This may not be your current reality, and if I’m honest it wasn’t mine either at the time, but I pray as you read it you will feel hope rising in you, knowing that God is bringing a change to the season you have been in and it is going to catch up with the reality of what God is doing.

Love this Sarah and what you’ve drawn is very exciting because it’s what I saw over our heads as we were worshipping on Wednesday night at Wendy’s. I tried to describe it to them and said it was swirling and like a firework over our heads. I knew it was heavenly!!!
I love that Claire. I’ve been seeing them at KA for a while and sometimes they are over people. 🎉🎉
Have you? Wow!!!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. X
