When God gave me the word discounted this morning, the first thing I thought of were those items in a shop that had been marked down, cast aside, dog-eared or even the damaged goods.

I began to feel that there were people today who feel just like that, they feel like they would be in the aisle with those things that are no longer of high value, that are left on the shelf, that aren’t popular enough to sell and are unwanted or even past their prime.

It may not be something you’ve noticed happening and maybe you have had things spoken over you that have led to you feeling unworthy and discounted, or you may even have spoken or thought them about yourself.

Have you been feeling like that? Have you written yourself off?

If you answered yes to either of those questions then read on because I know God wants to encourage you right now!

So, as you are reading this, posture your heart to receive revelation from Papa and let these words go deep and take root in your identity.

God says “You are not discounted and you are not of lesser value than anyone else.”

He paid the highest price for you and you were worth EVERY penny (metaphorically speaking).

His heart is heavy when you don’t walk in the goodness that He paid for and you don’t live out of the identity He has given you, as His beloved sons and daughters. You are selling yourselves short and this is NOT your true value.

How many of you know that the value of something is what the buyer is prepared to pay for it. You only have to go on EBay to see that, right?

Well, the fact of the matter is that God was prepared to pay the very highest price possible for YOU, and that was by sending His one and only son, Jesus, to be born as a baby, to live on this earth that He created and to ultimately die for you, taking on all human sin so that you could come into a right relationship (back into relationship) with the creator of the universe-God.

1 Cor 7:23-24 All of you, slave and free both, were once held hostage in a sinful society. Then a huge sum was paid out for your ransom. So please don’t, out of old habit, slip back into being or doing what everyone else tells you. Friends, stay where you were called to be. God is there. Hold the high ground with him at your side.

Today the Father wants you to understand why He paid this price for you…

You were in His thoughts before time even began. He was excited about your life and what you and He would do together on this earth.

Psa 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

He has exciting plans and purpose for YOUR life that no-one else can accomplish, but you.

Jer 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

You are PRICELESS to Him and you can NEVER lose your value. No matter what has happened in your life, what you have done, no one is too far gone for God to save.

Isa 43:4 Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in! That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.

Take some time today and let the words above sink into you and know that YOU are PRICELESS to the Father and that He was prepared to pay it ALL to have you as part of His family. Spend some time with God and ask Him to tell YOU how He feels about You!

But, spoiler alert, I already know it will be along these lines…

You are of high value, treasured, a thing of beauty, significant, a world changer, born to have influence, a shaper of the culture around you and a vessel for His glory.

Now go out and pass it on to the next person you meet who doesn’t feel worthy or qualified and explain to them why they are.
